How to get and return from Civitavecchia

From the train station of Civitavecchia arrive in Roma Ostiense train station in 70′. From here take the metro (tube) at Piramide, Line B and drop off at Colosseo Stop to start and follow the suggested itinerary.

You will finish your visit in Piazza San Pietro and here in a few distance you can take the train to come back to Civitavecchia train station (1 hour) at the San Pietro train station.

Useful Information

  • Regional train (BIRG ticket) takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to Roma Ostiense train station from Civitavecchia train station.
  • It takes 1 hour from Roma San Pietro train station to Civitavecchia train station

BIRG train ticket costs € 12,00 (and it also includes Rome local buses and metro).
This ticket does not include the trip to the Civitavecchia train station. For this you need to take a bus,  (€ 2) or walking.
